— How It Works

From upload to every store in six steps.

Asylum Entertainment is an independent music distribution label. You upload once, we review it like a label would, deliver it under our name to Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL and 150+ platforms, and you keep every cent your music earns.

  1. 01

    Pick a plan

Choose Starter ($9.99/yr, one release), Pro ($29.99/yr, unlimited releases) or Label ($79.99/yr, unlimited artists and releases). Checkout takes under a minute and you keep 100% of your royalties on every plan.

  2. 02

    Upload your release

Add a single, EP or album: WAV, FLAC or MP3 audio, 3000×3000 cover art, title, genre, songwriter legal names, explicit flag, release date and the stores you want. Label accounts can assign royalty splits to roster artists at upload.

  3. 03

    A&R review

A real person at Asylum checks your metadata, credits and artwork against store rules so your release isn't bounced by Spotify or Apple Music. Starter: 5–7 days. Pro: 48 hours. Label: 24 hours.

  4. 04

    Delivery to stores

Once approved, your release is packaged under the Asylum Entertainment label and delivered to Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TikTok, Instagram and 150+ more. Spotify and Apple typically go live in 2–5 business days; schedule at least 2–4 weeks out for playlist consideration.

  5. 05

    Release day on autopilot

The moment stores report your release live, Asylum flips it to Live, features it on our roster spotlight and emails everyone who pre-saved — automatically.

  6. 06

    Track streams and get paid

Your dashboard shows streams, saves and revenue per store and per release, with splits already applied. Once your balance reaches $50, request a PayPal payout in one click.

Questions artists ask

How do I upload music to Spotify and Apple Music with Asylum?

Sign up, pick a plan, upload your audio, cover art and metadata, and our A&R team reviews it. After approval Asylum delivers it to Spotify, Apple Music and 150+ other stores under the Asylum Entertainment label.

How long does it take for my music to go live?

Review takes 24 hours to 7 days depending on your plan. After approval, Spotify and Apple Music usually list the release within 2–5 business days; smaller stores can take up to two weeks.

Do I need my own ISRC and UPC codes?

No. If you don't have them, they are assigned during delivery at no extra cost. If you already have ISRCs you can enter them at upload.

What does releasing under a label name mean?

Your release shows 'Asylum Entertainment' as the label on streaming services instead of a self-released or distributor label credit. You still own your masters and 100% of your royalties.

How do payouts work?

Royalties from stores are imported into your dashboard with any roster splits applied. When your balance reaches $50 you can request a payout to your PayPal email; Asylum confirms the transfer and you get an email receipt.
